It's been months since I've blogged, this place is really busy, and keeps you going. I experienced my first Ramadan in a Muslim country, it was interesting. All of the local resturants closed down from 7 in the morning to around 5-ish at night. Every class was moved up by 3o minutes so the day would end earlier. I have 8Am class so that translated to 7:30. it was quite difficult. I bought a keffiyah (the Arab head dress) pics of me wearing it can be found on facebook. I'm getting along pretty well, but I don't feel like I have any really close friends here. I have a large number of aquaintences, but no friends. classes are going well, but Arabic is really hard. I decided that I'm going to stay the whole year, I'll see everyone at Christmas though.

I found it always takes a while to consider people as friends rather than acquaintances. And since you're staying the year, I'm sure at least one person will make their way into the 'friend' category.
There's some drama going down in Dublin, but I'm trying to stay as removed from it as possible. This may prove difficult since it involves the person I've been hanging out with the most (though I don't know if I would consider her my friend ... it's complicated).
Keep up with the updates. No one knows what's going on until you tell them!
